Ty began his creative path at Miami Arts Charter School, later earning a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD ’20). In 2016, he was awarded a Merit in Photography by the National YoungArts Foundation. In 2022, he was scouted and selected as a finalist for Nike’s Serena Williams Design Crew (SWDC) Combine.
Rooted in his identity as a mixed-race designer—Black and Greek—his practice under the alias Duality reflects an ongoing investigation of balance and coexistence. He brings this lens to client and community work alike, including teaching type workshops at Dale Zine and Soho House Miami, and leading visual direction for Public Energy, a platform through which he’s programmed and branded events—most notably “Botanical Garden Groove,” produced in collaboration with the City of Miami Beach for Black History Month in 2025.
